The National Resource Center for Paraeducators is excited to call the Center for Technical Assistance for Excellence in Special Education (TAESE) home (as of January 2021).
Do not worry! The NRCP is still located in beautiful northern Utah at the Utah State University campus. TAESE is part of the Technical Assistance Division for the Institute for Disability Research, Policy & Practice (IDRPP) at Utah State University. TAESE offers expert technical assistance in special education to State Educational Agencies (SEAs), professional organizations, and school districts across the country, and has a long, rich history of providing technical assistance dating back to 1980.
TAESE provides technical assistance to about 40 States. Clients include: State education agencies (SEAs), Local Education Agencies (LEAs), professional organizations, and other agencies. TAESE is the umbrella organization for numerous centers and projects. Prominent programs and centers include the National Resource Center for Paraeducators (NRCP), the TASK12 Consortium which provides assessment and training for school-based sign language interpreters, and the Dispute Resolution in Special Education (DRSE) Network.
TAESE assists numerous States with planning and implementing major conferences. Some examples include:
